Gulf Coast Mead Fest

Welcome To GULF COAST MEAD FEST - April 27 2019

Our Mead competition is for home vintners/brewers only please.
We want to have a good competition for people in this area, or at least those willing to travel to the Gulf Coast Mead Fest. Why you may ask, because there is a lot of wonderful meads and wines being made in this area. They deserve recognition without having to compete with meads or wines from all of the country.
After the great competitions we have had the last few years, we decided, if you want to compete, you have to bring your entry to the festival.

To make it even more fun, entries will be judge by the people attending!

Entry Qualifications and Conditions:

Any personal produced mead may be entered. (No commercial/pro entries- yet)
There is no limit to the number of entries per person.
Meads entered in previous competitions are welcome.
Each entry must provide one 750 ML bottles or equivalent amount.
Each entry should be labeled or identified on the bottle - although fancy labels are not required, presentation reflects pride in your mead and may influence the public that is judging. It is not a blind tasting.
The entry fee is $5 per entry
Entries must be received before 12:30 pm at the Gulf Coast Mead Fest

Bring one 750ml bottle( or equivalent) per entry and a copy of your completed entry form (or fill one out at the registration table).
Each mead entry will, within reason and at the discretion of the sponsors, be entered in the group or style that it was submitted in. However, the sponsors reserve the right to arrange categories as they see fit in light of the number of entries.

Gulf Coast Mead Festival competition awards will be made based on a populous vote. Voting will consist of 1/4 oz pours and the event attendees will be served from the bottles as entered.
